NAHL partners with Hopscotch to be official mobile app provider

AUGUST 18, 2015 http://nahl.com The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has announced that it has selected Hopscotch to be the official mobile app provider to the NAHL, NA3HL, NA3EHL and NAPHL.  With this partnership, Hopscotch will develop league-wide and individual team mobile applications for the NAHL and its affiliates. The company, which moved into new larger offices on Pearl Street last year, provides digital gift cards and incentive programs to a wide array of high-profile national retail businesses, including Starbucks, Banana Republic and Williams-Sonoma. It currently employs roughly 125 people, the vast majority of whom are located in the company’s Portland headquarters, said Ben Kaplan, CashStar’s CEO. Prepaid Card Popularity Up Among The Unbanked

That’s among the findings of the Pew Charitable Trusts, which released a report Tuesday (June 30) titled “Banking on Prepaid,” in which research showed that 23 million adults regularly use GPR prepaid cards nationwide. Those cards let holders load funds using either cash or direct deposit activity as their source. Then the cards can be used at ATMs or at retail locations to make direct purchases. Those surveyed by Pew totaled 587 respondents who use those cards at least once per month. The respondents were questioned late last year on various attitudes towards, and use of, the cards.
